Half scale mannequins are another of our products made here at our workshops in East Sussex. They reflect our passion for pattern cutting and design. The half size mannequin project was born purely out of a desire to have these for our own design work and so we were quite taken aback by how popular these have become. Since 2014 these have been selling to students, designers, colleges and film studios. The half size dress forms are little works of art in themselves as they have been lovingly cast, dressed and put on their stands at our workshops here in Fairlight, using traditional artisan skills in sewing, woodwork and mold making. Created by women with many years’ experience in the fashion industry, our ladies are an updated and modern version of the half scale dress form that was common in workrooms and classrooms in times gone past. We think these are wonderful tools to work with and will benefit both students and professional fashion designers alike.
